Day 8 Noon  Monday 30h November

We’ve run out of fresh meat now so it’s either tins or take this fishing lark seriously. Step up the oldies – it all looked easy when Benji and Tyara reeled them in. Was it easy or was it a game for fit young people?

Paul had a go first and then Pat tried her luck. Now I could say you needed great skill and patience to catch fish but the truth is you don’t. It’s easy. See for yourself.

Skipper looks happy – just put off tins for another day

Pat looks please with herself too.

The wind and the swell got up last night. Both were right behind us so we were able to surf down some of the waves. We got up to 10.5 knots at one point. That meant we beat our record for distance run in 24 hours which now stands at 172 miles.
