Day 6 Noon  Saturday 28th November

Yesterday afternoon we had a party. We had 3 reasons to celebrate.

One was completing a quarter of the crossing in 5 days.

Another was Louise’s 30th birthday (that’s Barrie and Margery’s eldest daughter). We broke out the crisps and nuts and cake and all got dressed up in party gear.

Happy 30th Louise – love Mum and Dad

Also Ian got married to Ria at 1600 which was exactly when our party started. We promoted a flannel to the rank of courtesy flag with “Ian and Ria – Just Married” enscribed with indelible ink. It was then hoisted to the spreaders in honour of their union and will be flown both ways across the Atlantic as our way of being part of their great day. We were all sorry we couldn’t be there in person..

Congratulations guys – flannel on far right

There are some great things about being in the middle of an ocean.

One is the star watching is fantastic with zero light pollution.

The second is the fishing is brilliant

Finally you can play music as loud as you like and nobody is around to complain. Well it was a party after all !
