The barbeque kind of went as planned, the weather was not too kind but Arthur and I managed to cook the fish outside on our last disposable barbecue and Carol did a big dish of potatoes and Meditteranean vegetables, our french friends came around with 3 superb bottles of wine from Bordeaux and we had a marvellous evening, we celebrated the fact that Sarah, a french girl has just discovered she is pregnant and we had a marvellous evening talking in 'Franglais'. We then ate some cherries and plums in alcohol, delicious and a french speciality, bottled by the French and very generously donated to the party, after that I felt obliged to offer a finger or two of Bushmills Malt whisky and we all went to bed happy at about midnight. This morning we found the proper supermarket and vegetable market and stocked up as everything is closed now until Monday. Weather forecast still looks ok for a Monday morning early start, planning to spend Monday night in Cabrera, a lovely nature reserve island we have visited before, then a day trip to Formentera, off Ibiza, then over to mainland Spain and around to Almerimar. Owing to the engine problem and inclement weather it looks like we will not get to Portimao in time so are planning to maybe leave P3 in Almerimar, for sale, for June and come home, end May/early June, certainly for a month.
