Well, here we are, 3rd of June and still in Brindisi, the Northerly wind came back with avengance, accompanied with cool cloudy weather and occasional rain, great. We left the marina which is way out of town and spent a couple of nights on the yacht club mooring in the town. Our chums, John and Eva were there and we had some pleasant times aboard each others boats, eating, drinking and chatting, dowloading ugrib weather files at every opportunity! At last it really looks as though we will be able to get off tomorrow morning. We left the yacht club moorings this morning and tied up on the Town Quay, we were under the impression it was free and close to shops and supermarkets. It was dissappointing when some Italian guy came and informed us it was private and we would have to pay 30 euros, I went and checked with the police and they said it was correct so we had not option but to pay up, no electricity or water, its a con. We have been surpried and dissappointed by the charges at most of the Italian harbours, never mind, off tomorrow, God willing, to Bari, then Vieste, then across to Croatia, we plan to check in at the island of Hvar where we have some friends with an apartment.
