Arrived here at 1600 after 32 hours, 30 hours of
motor and 2 hours of sailing! However, beautiful, calm, blue sea, now at anchor
off the beach which we thought would be fine as 2 other boats were here when we
arrived, woke up after an hours sleep and they have both gone! Do they know
something we don't? Who knows, we are staying put unless we told to move.
Weather seems set fair for the next day or so and we would like to make some
more easting along this North coast of Sicily, we plan to get around the corner
as soon as possible, through the Messina Straits and then have a few days in a
Marina on the East coast and take a trip up Mount Etna.
