After a peaceful night at anchor in a quiet bay on the eastern side of Ibiza, we set off for Majorca about 0700 in bright warm sunshine and zero wind, we had a great passage and the 55 miles slipped by at our sedate 6 knots, no real wind until just off Majorca when we picked up a Northerly force 3 to 4 which meant engine off, at last, and we soon had P3 scampering over the flat water of Palma Bay at a brisk 8 knots. On the way over we came across 4 sperm whales, magnificent sight, 3 females together with a male bringing up the rear, they stayed on the surface and were quite inquisitive, coming within 30 feet of the boat, some good photos. Spent another peaceful nigt at anchor off some little beach in Palma Bay and have just rung the Real Club Nautico Of Palma amd been told we can have a berth for a couple of nights, so we are off there shortly to do some much needed shopping and washing in preparation for Ben Lindsay who are joining us tomorrow evening for a couple of weeks.
