23rd, Light to moderate North, North East winds, we sailed alongside a Danish yacht for a while and chatted on the vhf, we sent one of the guys wives an e mail to wish her a happy birthday and assure her all was well, we saw 2 pods of Atlantic spotted dolphins, and had a fairly uneventful day, Herb is talking of gale force winds North of 39N on Thursday so we have adjusted our course a little. It is now 2300 and we have no GPS coverage but our estimated position puts us about  435 miles from Horta.
