The 19^th June dawned a bit cloudy and the boat was soaked, a very heavy dew seems to be the pattern for these climes, I had the sunrise watch, 0430 to 0630, relieving poor Karin who had the dreaded dog watch 0230 to 0430, never mind she was cheered up later in the morning, I was below when she cried out in great excitement, ‘whale, whale’ and sure enough, there was a 20 metre fin whale off to port, we all got a good look at him with a great brown and black back, fin and saw him blow several times before he disappeared into the blue, what a wonderful start to our day. The mahi-mahi  was expertly cooked by Joe and Karin with mashed potatoes and peas, beautiful, food fit for a king. I did the washing up. We are making 7 knots in a cracking breeze now, although last night the breeze went to nothing and we lost a lot of ground, we had an hour or two of engine today, the first since leaving Bermuda.
