14th June, We had a great 48 hours in Bermuda, what a lovely place. No one seems to know anything about it, it is very British but also quite American, british telephone boxes and 'trash' cans, strange, but everyone very friendly and the whole island is very cean and tidy, unlike the Windward and leeward isles. Phil took us all out for dinner last night to celebrate my birthday which was great, I had a wonderful birthday, only marred by the fact thatCarol was not with us. We managed to get away about noon and have been sailing for 3 hours as I type this, the sky is blue and the wind is Northerly 15 to 19 knots, we are making around 7 knots and have 1750 miles to go. Joe and Karin cooked a fab lunch , finishing the dorado with pumpkin, potatoes and carrots, washed down with a non alcohol beer, marvellous. Forecast good for the forseeable future, no storms around at present.
