So, all fairly quiet today after last nights shenanigans, we finally dropped off to sleep properly about 0500 and awoke refreshed about 0930, shower, big Sunday Breakfast and we felt alive again, weather still awful with wall to wall grey and windy, so had a few hours with John and Eva and stayed aboard rest of the day. What I have to tell you, dear Blog, is that, during the encounter with Destiny last night, John dropped his anchor chain and lost his 'snubber', a piece of rope about 5 metres long with an expensive fitting on the end, used to tie the chain to the boat when anchored and relieve the pressure on the winch. We duly gave John 50 euros as it was our responsibility as we drifted into him. Well, later, this afternoon, the wind got up and I felt we were moving slightly again so we decided to up anchor and re anchor again in preparation for tonights forecast storm, I pulled up the anchor and what was caught on it but Johns snubber!! The area we are talking about is about 500 yards square and the chances of doing that have got to be millions to 1 against, probably about as likely as winning the lottery, better do it when we get home!! Thats it, storm arrived at 1700 and now it is 2030 and it is pouring, luckily the wind has not been too strong and we are hoping for a peaceful night, had supper, generator on, so its a dvd (Blue Planet) and bed. Good Night dear Blog!!
