What an evening we had! Came back to P3 about 1600 after our nice lunch and it started raining about 1700, it got worse and worse and a spectacular storm ensued with forked lightening and thunder occurring instantaneously as the storm hovered over us, we did wonder if being at anchor, beneath the storm, in a little boat with a nice tall mast, was the most sensible place to be, but it was Hobsons choice really. The wind didn't get up until about 1900 and then it hit 45 knots, I was just in the loo when Carol called me urgently, we had collided with John and Eva on Destiny, either our or their or, more likely both, anchors had dragged, we were nose to tail with their anchor chain disappearing under our stern worryingly, looked like we were going to lose our rudder. Nobody panicked and we recovered our anchor chain and then John dropped his chain and we floated clear. Apparently no damage, might be a scratch under the water line but all seems to work ok, guess I will find out more when we get to a quiet anchorage away from town and I can hop over the side and take a look, I am not going in here for obvious reasons! We eventually re anchored and spent the rest of the night watching events and some fitful sleeping. It all quietened down around 0600 and we slept until 0930, then Carol did a big cooked breakfast, we had a shower and all is well again, except the forecast is looking like there might be another tonight!! I'll let you know.
