Early this morning we heard the shocking and sad news of the death of Peter Phillips. Peter had been suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. In a sad alignment of events, Peter was one of a group of close friends of Charlie’s and Richard’s, of whom George Halahan was also very much a part. Our thoughts are of course with Peter’s wife Merry and their three boys.

We sat together in Neroli’s cockpit at dawn this morning. We looked out over a calm sea and a lovely sunrise. In surroundings that encourage reflection and permit memories to flow freely we recalled Peter’s humour, his loyalty, his enthusiasms – and his fortitude in the last few very difficult years. We’ll always remember him.
