Neroli is a
Hallberg Rassy 42 and was built for Charlie and Francoise Tongue at Ellos in
Sweden in 1999. She has an overall length of 13.22m, a beam of 3.95m, draft of
2.00m and displaces 12.5 tonnes. She has a 76 HP Volvo TMD22 engine,
a deisel generator, radar and a water maker. She normally carries
685 litres of water and 420 litres of fuel but for her transatlantic trip she is
loaded with three quarters of a ton of water and half a ton of fuel as well
as vast quantities of spares, first aid kit, fancy dress outfits
etc.
For her
transatlantic trip she has had an extensive refit, all the standing rigging has
been replaced nd the safety equipment on board has been upgraded. On board there
is an SSB Radio, VHF Radio and an Iridium satellite telephone. On board
accomodation includes double cabins fore and aft, a large saloon with two more
berths , galley with cooker, fridge and freezer and two separate heads with
showers.
