Frustratingly lovely weather...........

The weather continues to get warmer as we head south but the wind is frustratingly light. We kept the spinnaker up all last night and our noon day run was 108 miles, disappointing but not bad as the wind has rarely exceeded 10kn.

Dinner for Lou and the skipper.
talking to someone called

Dinner last night was prepared by Charlie and Graham and the immaculately cooked steak, ratatouille and mashed potatoes were eatento the romantic light of head torches! Today the wind has gone even lighter and after looking at some weather charts for the next 5 days we have altered our course to take us closer in to the coast of Senegal before we skirt just north of the Cape Verde islands and down to a latitude of about 15 degrees N before heading across towards St Lucia. The change of course has increased our boat speed to about 6kn on a broad reach which is more fun even if we are not heading for our final destination!
Henry's mental health is still a source of some concern to us but his cooking is so good that the rest of us have chosen to overlook the problem. We think that it may be put down to the fact that he is missing Lauren rather badly. We have discovered four stowaways on board but luckily have plenty of food for everyone. A mechanical dancing lady called Fatima was found close to the skipper's bunk and a small monkey is slowly eating his way through our fruit. A small white teddy carrying a heart has been found in the forepeak looking rather sick; apparently lovesick rather than seasick. Henry has been heard  Coriander but she looks very much like a Basil plant.
