Castel Giocondo (Belongs to Frescobaldi, Italy’s largest Wine producer) to visit their beautifull winery
More Sangiovese grape tasting in their vineyards, just South West of Montalcino, surprisingly sweet – but perfectly ripe for picking any day now.
Wine tasting at the Frescobaldi Vineyard Cellars, followed by lunch at their ‘Tenuta di Castelgiocondo, on top of that hill on the scenery photo above.
Walking up the hill to Castel Giocondo’s Tenuta for lunch, another great venue!
Lunch awaits – look at all those glasses!
The PR man from Frescobaldi that’s a lot of wines to taste, just as well they have labels at the foot of each wine glass!
The range of wines we tasted made by the Frescobaldi estate
Me and my ‘painting class’ friends all together in Italy. It was Susan on the right who had suggested the trip – what a great idea and a happy group! Susan, Giovanni, Brian and Valerie
David, Pepe and Ian enjoy the espresso in the garden after lunch
Whilst Bart (our Andaman Wine Club Manager) with his wife Louise and their two children pose on the old well
Just time for the group photo before The sun starts to set as we drive to the Tenuta di Colle Massari, a small group of apartments grouped around the old village of Colle Massari and its Church. |
