An absolutely perfect driving Holiday, a dream come true to visit areas of France we had not previously been to, starting in the area just below Biarritz, called St Jean de Luz where we stayed, very close to the Spanish border Atlantic side.

David drove the car into the back hills along the windy roads to the most pretty Basque villages which have chalets all dressed up with window boxes of flowers, and strings of chillies hanging out to dry.  To cross the border is not an issue, but the mountain passes which the road manages to take us through are just spectacular
