We had a super room in an old 1900's style hotel, with huge windows opening up on to a terrace overlooking the lake. It was not expensive, and the restaurant next door was full every night, with the tables and chairs outside being occupied at least twice in an evening by different groups.

   My brain had trouble in finding any Italian words to speak, despite being able to read them.  But we managed, noticing that most of them also speak French with the tourists enjoying such a special place
