It was a bit frightening for me seated on the wrong side of the car, facing any oncoming car which might suddenly present itself as we rounded a tight corner on the mountainside!  We took our rented English car (a small VW Polo) as it was cheaper than renting in France.  Thank goodness it's a small car.  It was a bit of a shock when we picked it up a Heathrow getting in it after the huge American one in Texas. Later on we realised a large car would most definitely not have got around the places we went to!DSC03553 VW Polo at Pyrenean pass.jpg
