On Saturday, 24th July at 12:23 Irene IV finally set sail from Valencia! Irene IV has called Valencia, on the south-eastern coast of Spain, home since September 2020. There she has been patiently
and lovingly prepared for her upcoming second circumnavigation. Irene IV, in her former guise as Meteorite, traversed the world with her previous owners in 2017-2019.
She was, and continues to be, a chic, congenial and cosy home. Emerging from under the COVID cloud, the long awaited departure brought tears and cheers of anticipation and excitement to the lips and eyes of
the Irish home team! Captain Stuart, along with co-crew Tom and Manuela, slipped the dock, bound for north-western Spain.
The Irish crew will join them onboard to bring Irene IV home to Cahirsiveen, on the south-west coast of Ireland, in about six or seven days. What an historic moment! Louis, Monique and Sabine
