In the town of Kasunga.

Cycled 109 km today. Great ride, gentle undulating hills, on a slight descent to Kasunga. Cool weather for the first half and crosswind.

Nice change from the big hills of the days before, but my legs still hadn't quite recovered.

I left at 5h45, and arrived first at 10h50.

Scenery was pleasant but nothing specifically outstanding. For the last 50km entered a huge flat plain, sparsely dotted with extinct volcanos.

The town of Kasunga is a surprisingly pleasant town, one of the best I have been through since Arusha. Quite busy yet friendly and reasonable shops and amenities.

I must say the road feels very 'main road' like, although there is minimal traffic. Little bird life, other than lots of pied crows, and no evidence of wild animal presence. In some ways its a bit boring at times.

Lilongwe tomorrow!
