End of day 10 cycling (Day 11 since Cairo)

Cycled 60km today...first taste of Sudan roads and weather.....

The road was sand the whole way, quite bumpy and in some patches very soft sand.

Temperature was notably hotter than Egypt, the stark desert provide no shade and just absoorbing the heat.

I was very happy with the way the day went, bike and I handled the conditions well....After all of us starting together from Wadi Halfa, I came in at lunch (30km) just behind the two lead riders. After lunch I took iyt slowly stopping for walks into the desert when the scenery touched me.

The scenery the whole day was amazing....real stark desert, no inhabitants, and lunar type landscape, with lots of spaces with endless horizons.

We are camping in the middle of the desert, and after a day of riding parallel to the river but 8-10 km east of it will meet up with the Nile again tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy newsletter number 4.
