As the title says....80km to the Kenyan border, campsite in the sticks just
off the road.....and into the 3 degrees latitude...exciting stuff!
Cycled 120km today.....a REALLY great one.....this felt like Africa....away
from the villages, long straight roads with slight undulations, and just one
10km hill of significance.
I left very early so enjoyed wondeful birdlife and 'african sunrise'
scenery!
I stopped many times and did some mini hikes into the bush...all
rewarding...saw my first antelope, also baboons, mongoose, amongst the
birds. I was out there for 8 and a half hours and it was just
wonderful....felt like home somehow..
My chain broke again on the hill.....a few minutes to fix, but need to start
looking at a longer term solution.
Otherwise it was JUST great to get away from the you, you, you's!
