Harbor Marina - what a strange place - a very shallow place - we arrived
there on Thursday Aug 9th and left the next day. It was a particularly
embarrassing departure as we ran aground less than a quarter of a mile
from the marina - in full view !! we had to wait for Tow Boat (who are now
on speed dial) to come and rescue us - yet again ! - It was the same Tow
Boat guy who had towed us out 2 days ago getting into Jekyll island - very
embarrassing !!! At least he knows us now and kindly towed us through the
narrow spot (about half a mile long) till we got to some deeper water and
could continue.
We picked up the current and made good time going through "mud river "
thankfully without running aground again but there are no marina's between
Jekyll Island and Savannah so we had to anchor out in Yahoo River - not a
good plan.
