Sunday 2.40 pm December 16th we left Old Port Cove and headed for the Lake Worth Inlet.  The weather man said this would be a perfect window – wrong  !! The seas were very very lumpy and the wind were blowing on the nose at 20 knotts we had 13 hours of bumping , bouncing and getting wet at the waves came over the front, and the sides of the boat. We put Rags below as it was too dangerous to have him on deck. He was shell shocked by the time we got to West End – Everything that wasn’t nailed down was on the floor – the whole of the inside of the boat was trashed ! He finally hid in the bathroom where at least there were no flying objects. We finally arrived at the outer marker at 3 am – The marina doesn’t open until 7 and so we tried dropping the anchor.  After 3 attempts we decide to just do circles instead.
