Sunday and still in New Orleans

Sunday 23rd - 2 weeks exactly since we set off and we are still in
Louisiana! the engine has been sick - we are stuck in Seabrook marina,
where we have been since Thursday evening - just outside New Orleans.New
parts (injectors) should be arriving tomorrow morning then we are heading
out for Biloxi. On Friday we went into New Orleans because Doug has never
been - we did try to warn him but even so we headed for Boubon St. It was
a zoo - there were drunks everywhere and we had to wait an hour to get a
table at a restaurant - we came home to the boat vowing never to return !
When we got back we discovered Rags had had an anxiety attach and emptied
all the trash and actually managed to climb the steep steps and was
sitting at the top of the companionway when we back on board - oh dear !
Yesterday I baked a cake to cheer them all up. Tonight it will be chicken
something - I am getting quite creative in the galley.
