Casamara had waited in Oslo whilst we visited the Notodden Blues Festival, something we had longed to do. Now it was time to bring her home.

We left Ayker Brygge Marina in sunshine but soon wind and rain started to build. Faint hopes that “it’ll blow over” evaporated and we thrashed into an uncomfortable sea. Eventually, seeking shelter, we threaded between rocky outcrops to anchor behind the island of Bjerkoy.

The wind abated and a silver moon rose as we tucked ourselves into bed on a glassy sea.
