Nazare

Since we are trying to get to Lisbon asap, each day is the same routine.
We wake up early(0730 hrs though the night before always said 0630 hs), spend one hour having coffee/finding out about weather forecast and off we go.
Each day is 60/70 NM, sometimes 90.
Our average cruise speed is 7 knots so in 10 hrs (daylight is getting shorter) you can make a decent distance.

We cannot sail at night as within 10 to 15 nm the maritime coast is full of lobster/fishing pots/buoys.This is a real danger as it could damage the propeller,if motoring, or get into the keel torpedo if sailing.
To avoid them you have to sail 15 Nm out and then back (total 25/30 nautical miles) so instead of gaining 8/9 hrs of distance you only progress half of it.

Nevertheless 60/70 nm every day you make good progress.

This week weather has been pretty the same, good sunny weather, not much wind forcing to motor 2/3 of the day. Most of the days you have wind by 1500 hs for 2/3 hrs and then goes off again.

Nazare is a famous town for Fatima, Virgin Mary apparition and its pilgrimage.
