Benalmadena- Sotogrande

We have been waiting for more than 10 days to leave Benalmadena to make Canaray Islands.

Southwest winds have set the mood for so many days that the weather windows only lasted max 2 days.

We made as much progress as possible with the boat, serviced the engine ,ec and also worked as hard as I could knowing that later I will not have enough time.

John left to school, then while waiting it rained a lot and one of those days Mirian hit with her face/nose a low balcony and broke her nose!Great that was what we needed!

I had already decided to sail to Lanzarotte with my friend(spanish) Piti who is a pro sailor and tam manager in Spain.

On the weekend of Nov 4th we decided to go. Wating till weather cleared we left on the 5th at 0100 hs with 25 knots of head wind and awful Med waves.
Not much sleep that night . I decided half way that it would be wise to stop in Sotogrande for Breakfast and moral. So we did and by the time we arrived the bad weather was gone.

Two hrs in Sotogrande and we left towards Lanzarotte, 660 nm away.
