Well- what can one say? We left Virgin Gorda, BVI, last Wednesday for Antigua - in the full knowledge that the fuel was still filthy dirty. The winds and the current were against us. The Anegada passage was lumpy as usual and it was not possible to head anywhere near Antigua! After 30 hours we dropped anchor in Marigot Bay, St Martin. We checked in on Friday morning and went shopping, for more racors! We set off for Antigua at 05.45 on Saturday and had a " challenging" sail. The wind and currents were so awful that it was possible to tack for 10 miles, tack again, and come back up the same track! I say this with some merriment but the mood aboard was good..........
We arrived in Freemans Bay at 4.30 pm yesterday exhausted but SO happy to be back in one of the most lovely spots in the Caribbean.
As far as I am concerned there is no need to move the boat again, ever. A large FOR SALE sign needs to be purchased but the captain is not " on board".
Almost Seasons Greetings.
