Seann Maxwell left early this morning to catch an 8 O’clock flight to San Juan and then Miami. Smitty had left on Saturday morning and was heading back to Bermuda then delivering another yacht the following day.  Heavy rain this morning for an hour then cleared to be fine if very hot and humid day. The dinghy was cleaned up after the workers using it the day before to clean Ospreys hull and John went into English harbour for the first time and had a look around. The size and value of yachts here at present is staggering and it looks as though the value would easily exceed the gross national product of Antigua, although it has to be said that the yachts do contribute to it substantially. At 52ft - Osprey is a baby in comparison to most of the boats in the harbour. The old dockyard is fascinating with much of the 17th century facilities still in place – albeit now housing bars and restaurants. A quiet day intended today and then we will start work on servicing Osprey tomorrow ready for a trip around the islands with Anita. The new awning (tent) is working well and there is no doubt it will keep Anita out of the sun when in harbor or at anchor.
