14:39.29N 061:09.245W From St Pierre we made the short trip south and decided to stop in a little bay called Fond Boucher, there were no other boats anchored just a trip boat on some snorkel /dive moorings in the south of the bay. ![]() Small trip boats kept going to a cave in on its north shore. Clare Terry and myself went for a snorkel to the north, there were a good number of small fish but the water was a little murky from wave action, we got to the cave - you couldn’t actually go in as it was mostly above the water line but it was heaving with bats, sadly I didn’t have my camera! We later identified them as fruit bats. The following morning we also snorkelled to the south towards the buoys. We went along the shore and were delighted with the water clarity and number of fish, we also were given a bit of a turtle bonanza and saw 7 or 8 (we may have seen one small one twice). With so much to see we stayed in the water for almost an hour and a half which was possibly a little long for me as I got a bit cold 🥶. ![]() |
