After a short nap we headed in to customs and immigration to check in. Although you have to fill all the info in on line before you go to building, the in person, check in, is a long winded affair, you have to fill in more forms see various officials fill in more forms and pay a small fee! Takes over an hour depending on how many other people are there! Once checked in we were free to do as we please so we headed to have a look at the shop - see if there were a couple of British Christmas foods we wanted, because Antigua was ruled by the UK for over 300 years and only got its independence in 1981 you can actually get some Waitrose items in the shops here 🤩, I found some stuffing, lemon squash and a few bits, in the past we have got British sausages etc but I think being Christmas they were sold out so Steve was out of luck - no pigs in blankets for him 😬. We decided to stay there for Christmas and have a quiet day. ![]() We chatted to Lou and the grandchildren, went ashore briefly and I had a little swim before cooking Christmas dinner, Steve had stuffed pork tenderloin while I had homemade recipe nut roast (my mums recipe 😍) and roast potatoes, parsnips, peas, carrots, cauliflower, stuffing balls and gravy. We spoke to my sister and family and later my other sister. Not a bad view for for Christmas Day ![]() |
