We sailed the short distance to Grand Case and anchored with Rockhopper, not sure why we haven’t been here before, it’s a pleasant bay, you can’t anchor in the middle as small planes fly over when they are coming in to land at the nearby airport, but there aren’t many flights and you really don’t notice them.
Jo and Carl had the use of a car for a while and we went out with them on a road trip, saw some of the island, did some shopping and checked out a couple of Bars.
We also got in the water and cleaned the hull, took 2 days, not that it was dirty (it had a fine covering which came off easily, it was us being out of practice that took a second day 🫣😂. Sonsy Lass came round a couple of days after us so we spent time with Martin and Sharon as well.
With the wind forecast to be more easterly and some swell coming in we followed Sonsy Lass back round to Marigot bay.
