| Finally arrived after a 56 mile - 14 hour day with Force 5-6 on the nose all the way; plus crossing shipping lanes. Needless to say we motored all the way!!! Anyway, now at least a week's work before we progress further; we have a diesel leak; the generator overheated and stopped; the engine freshwater pump has developed an intermittent squeal; the steering quadrant is noisy and the safety harness' Gibson hooks need lubricating - and that is just the start. The marina is absolutely brand-new with huge amounts of space between quays - obviously intended for the motor-boats of the Istanbul " Rich and Shameless". Anyway, more news later when we can take some photos. |
