Wednesday 5th August. Work continues in the marina - the new water and power facilities are about to be put to all the moorings along the quays, along with metered (!) electricity - knew the free electricity was too good to last. Pauline used the new marina washing machine this morning - the marina reception came along to give her instruction as the machine speaks Turkish only - I think it was a learning experience for both of them! Maintenance continues as usual; today I changed the oil in the generator and also the water-maker high pressure pump; both are simple procedures made complicated by the fact that both equipments have been shoe-horned into small spaces in the cockpit port-side aft locker, and everything in the locker has to be removed to get at them. The generator is now good for another 100 hours running and the water-maker for 500 hours.
