A short trip of 30 miles along the coast to Side (pronounced Seeday) just to make sure the boat is working OK and that we are ready for the long trip towards Istanbul, and then Bulgaria.  We set off at 0730 hrs accompanied by our friends Philip and Frances of the yacht Tulameen.  Unfortunately Tulameen's engine overheated after less than one hour so they turned back to Alanta, although we may see them in a few days at one of the anchorages along the way if they manage to fix the engine problem quickly.  There was very little wind, but still some swell left over from the storm last Thursday, so the first half of the trip was rather rolly.  Luckily things smoothed out and we were making 6 knots motorsailing, so arrived earlier than expected at about 1305 hrs.  We tried the harbour to the South of Side but there was very little room as several fishing boats were moored in there in the spot to which we had been advised to go.  Back out of the very narrow entrance and round to the West (left-hand side) we anchored just off the entrance to the Left-Hand harbour in the photo;  had a nice restful lunch - which will be followed shortly by a snooze in the cockpit.  We plan to do about 50 miles tomorrow, across Antalya Bay, to an anchorage we used last year called Çineviz (pronounced Chin-ev-iz).
