February Update

We are still at the St. Raphael Marina in Limassol - awaiting a decent weather window before going to Alanya.  We went back to the UK 13 Jan - 5 Feb to visit family and see how much the grandchildren have grown.  We also visited the London Boat Show but found it disappointing as it seems to have lost its buzz and become more like a trade show; interestingly, friends of ours who had a sailing school stand there said that they were doing the best business ever as all the enquiries were serious bookings and they weren't having to deal with the push chair guerrillas.  As most will know the weather was not good and we really benefitted from having the 4X4 Jeep - the snow was not a problem - unfortunately the rear window wiper broke down so we were having to pay special attention to the wing mirrors - still have not fixed it yet.  The weather has been very windy and wet in Cyprus but it is getting warmer and we are back into shorts during the hottest part of the day.  The Marina is busy with the boats getting ready for this season.  We keep shifting around the Marina into spaces vacated by boats going ashore for fitting out.  As the weather improves we will find a weather window to return to Alanya.  Yesterday the forecast was for 8 metre waves north of Cyprus.
