The wind is now being very difficult.

We spent the last day and night tacking around making good progress very slowly. The chop of the sea tried to stun our progress as it hit the boat. We must have moved thousands and thousands of liters of sea over the boat.
By this morning the sea had calmed down and the sun was shining with hardly any clouds.

Although the current wind is from the west ‘ish, the latest forecasts expect bigger winds from the west tomorrow. We have been trying to accommodate the wind direction over the last day whilst setting up for the bigger wind on Monday hence the tacking. But we still need to get as west as we can asap so that we won’t have to battle it and so that we are nearer the shore and avoid the brunt of it.  We can also use the this wind to help us sail northwards together with the help of the gulf Stream. (We’ll se how successful we have been tomorrow.)

So today will be of motoring (..ugh!) or motor sailing if possible (..ugh!) west’ish.

Otherwise, we have all been trying to sleep where possible in the rolls, strolling around the deck (yeh, right!), and getting good at Sudoku. We might go fishing today – I’m told that there is a really good fishing location that we must try, it’s just by the aft starboard quarter of the boat!
