Wind is a little lighter today – between 13 and 20 knots from the NE.

Remember we said that we were used to the swell??  Well I am going to take that back!  Night before last was a ridiculous roller coaster ride that took its toll on all of us.  Yesterday was little better.
We put up more lee cloths to try to stay put in our bunks and Bob D. developed the DWedge approach with 4 pillows  tucked strategically in;  but truly it was wearing on all of us.  Was this going to continue for our last 4 days and nights?

Thankfully what a difference a day makes.
We had a bit of a wind shift late last night and were able hold  a beam reach for a while, adding the main sail for stability. A nice temporary improvement  in our motion.
The sun is strong and the sky clear.  We feel the Caribbean is much closer.

John loaded the new GPS maps for the Caribbean.  It worked smoothly, always a tense moment when we fiddle with the system.  It’s so nice to see our destination clearly.

Yesterday Cathy made a chocolate cake for Bob’s birthday.
It was so hot in the galley!  Whew,  it was a labor of love.

Today is Bob’s 60th.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Another fish escaped ..too bad,   this one was likely a biggy.  Look at how he snapped off the lure and bent the metal part of the leader,  Bob tells us he has never seen that before.  He must have been a few tonne.
Oh well, no fresh fish today.

What a minute…….

Cathy spotted another one!
She reeled it in…  YES!!!!!

It’s a Yellow Fin Tuna!!!!
Yea!!
Bob G. did the dirty deed and Bob D filleted it.
Marinated Tune Steak on the menu tonight!
