Hi there

After the promise of good winds on the GRIB forecast we only made 153Nm in our first 24 hours, lots of engine, dodging fishing vessels and SS Moon through the night.  All the crew was very tired today and the grey North Atlantic weather did not inspire us.  We have dined and all getting ready for the night watches.  One man down now that Quentin is not here and it does make a difference.

Very pleased with our provisions loaded in Horta the supermarket was good, pork cutlets for dinner, very fresh and good quality, we even managed dessert, typical camping fare of tinned peaches with condensed milk, but it did the trick.

Very sleepy now so will be a short blog tonight and maybe I can add some more later.  The position update has us now clear of the Azores Archipelago and making 8 knots toward goal (actually 8.5 on the GPS right now) so hopefully we will be posting a more respectable 180 or 190 miles tomorrow if the wind stays consistent.  Expecting to land fall in Gibraltar more or less a week after leaving so maybe for Saturday night.  Not sure then if we are going home or on to Mallorca, pending advice on a berth.

Happy sailing and enjoy Horta those of you who made it in.
