4 Islands today after setting off from Soper's
Hole.
We visited the caves at Norman Island, said to have
inspired the Robert Louis Stephenson book Treasure Island, sadly no a doubloon
did we find, however I understand that several have been unearthed at these
caves in the past. Following a chat over the state of the anchorage
with a Richard Branson Lookie Likey (the American accent was a give away) we
sailed to Pelican island and snorkeled amongst The Indians (4 little rock
formations) a really nice snorkeling site though no big stuff only a couple of
moderate sized jacks surrounded by hundreds of fish and plenty of soft
coral.
Lunch stop was island number 3, Peter Island, there
is not much there in terms of habitation apart from a marina and posh hotel
complex on the north coast. It is however an idyllic lunch spot with
unspoilt beaches and crystal clear waters.
Island Number 4 is Cooper Island a lovely beach
resort with we hope a lovely restaurant for dinner. Our Barracuda has
re-appeared though he has become fickle and is now under the boat next door, but
we have 2 rays under us so I guess we are even.
Still not sure when all these updates will hit
since we have trouble with reliable WiFi. Maybe tonight or at least before
the weekend.
Best to all
