Hi there,
just a very quick update as we have quite choppy
seas and I cannot do this on deck tonight. There is the occasional
spray and that would not agree with the electronics!.
there are gale force winds off the south coast of
France and while the wind here is quite good for sailing we are getting some
bigger than usual seas (or again it seems so at night). We have the engine
on as it is night time and when I went to bed (again sleeping on deck to help
Pete if the sails needed work) the wind had slackened to a degree we were not
making progress. I am waiting to see what the dawn brings (aside from and
extra pair of hands) before deciding to put up the sails again. It is
actually good wind for us around 14 Knots gusting to 17/18 and a little forward
of the beam, while not perfect it will get us going quickly.
I will have to stop now as staring at a computer
screen inside a pitching boat is going to make anyone sea sick.
Bye for now.
Ben and Pete
