We are in Veruda having sailed a short hop from Rovinj yesterday.  It was into the wind all the way, a fresh breeze of 12-14Kn and some short choppy waves which slowed our progress but it was a nice sail.   With shopping for stores we did not get away until around 11am and sailed into Veruda around 3:30pm.  We were all glad of a swim since the days are hot and sunny.

I spent the rest of the afternoon fitting the radar reflector (tri lens) up the mast.  It was a hell of a job as I broke a drill bit and several screws tapping the threads.  Luckily I had spares and after a few unplanned trips up the mast I was able to get the job done.  The new climbing harness and my willing crew manning the winch helped a great deal.

We are up early this morning to get a big day's sail in and hopefully catch some fish in the early morning.  Or I should say I am up early, Ben and Sam (my crew) having professed an eagerness to get going with the dawn are still grunting and snoring below.  I imagine me starting the engine will change that shortly.

No photos so far as I am using the sat phone for updates so far, also have been a bit lazy with the Camera.  Depending on where we end up tonight I will look out for an internet Cafe and try and get online.

Bye for now.
