Breeze
Stewart & Joanne
Tue 24 Feb 2015 16:19
Terrific sail through the day and night. Winds at 15-20 knots and Breeze
sailing at 7-8 knots.
Scrabble, dominoes and reading helped while away the hours. Stewart served
a spag bol for dinner. Yum.
At midnight Jo heard a strange hum, thinking something was wrong with the
rigging. After much anxiety of where to pinpoint the sound a pungent odour
sprang from the galley. She heard the hum and some banging near the potato
basket, approaching the potatoes they seemed to be moving...”are they
exploding?”...No, a flying fish was slapping around between the hatch and
basket! What is it with the flying fish and Jo?
This morning the winds are getting lighter, Stewart and Robert are
repairing a rip in the asymmetric and we shall fly it for the better part of
these days as light winds are forecast for the remainder of our journey to the
Galapagos Islands.
We are 207 nm from our destination
All is well, Cheers from Breeze |
