Very slow going, winds very light to nothing yesterday. Smooth sea state
and scattered cloud sky. In the late afternoon we saw what we thought were huge
fish, but then the colour of the sea became red and mottled. Perhaps red tide,
an algal bloom? It was just under the surface and lasted quite sometime before
floating away.
Robert heard a whale on his night watch and saw many dolphin.
Today winds have picked up to 15 knots and we are sailing in a white capped
sea, scattered clouds in a mostly pale blue sky. We are flying the asymmetric
and finally making at least 7 knots. Stewart is making chicken curry for
dinner.
All is well, Cheers from Breeze |
