After a fast passage of under 2 and a half days from Samoa we arrived in the harbour here at the town of Neiafu in the Vava’u group of Tonga in the darkness on Saturday evening local time. We must wait until normal work hours on Monday morning before we can check in with customs, immigration, quarantine and health officials. Until then we have our yellow quarantine flag hoisted and must stay onboard the boat. So we are anchored in the very well sheltered harbour here just cleaning/drying the boat and relaxing for Sunday.

Plan to explore the little town after checking in tomorrow and then head out to anchor at some of the other small islands by midweek. Looking forward to all the good snorkeling on reefs out there, seeing the well known Mariners and Swallows caves and some walks exploring some of the islands.
