We had a great day sail from Tahiti to Mo’orea on Monday. While there we went on an amazing hike up through the hills. We ran into a grow-op (well... a pineapple grow-op) and came across a group of wild hogs. – very exciting! We also spent another day hanging out on one of the beaches.

Tuesday, early evening, we set sail for our over night passage to Huahine. It was blowing a consistent 20 knots and we sail a broad reach the entire way, arriving in Huahine early the next morning. Sea Monkey anchored at a very private small beach (known only to locals and only accessible only by boat – Hana Iti beach.)  There was incredible snorkeling there among the reefs! We went for a short hike and were able to catch a great photo of Sea Monkey anchored in the lagoon. (see picture below.)

We are currently now anchored in Avea Bay, where we are spending more time at the beach and hiking into the (very small) town of Parea, in hopes of finding some fresh produce - no luck though. On our hike we stopped in at one of the Marae’s (open air Polynesian temple).

Our plan from here is to do some cycling around the island, head to Fare (the largest town in Huahine) to get some some more previsions before we set off to for our 4-day passage to Penrhyn (northern most island in the Cook Islands).

Thanks again for reaching the blog! – Stay tuned for more updates!
