Hi everyone, sorry for the delay since the last post. We are here in the marina in the town of Apia which is the capital of Samoa. The last days of the passage here were a little wet and windy so it was great to arrive and come in to the sheltered little marina. This the first marina that Sea Monkey has stayed in as everywhere else we anchor out but here they do not allow that. Fortunately Samoa is relatively cheap so for little Sea Monkey in the marina it is only about $15/day. It is nice to be able to step off and go ashore whenever you want and to know that the boat is safe.

It has been fun to be here based in the town, a big change from the previous month when we were either on passage or staying near a tiny village on a remote island. We enjoyed a burger and beer the first evening here and since then have tried some of their tasty fried food from the markets and one or two more of their local Vailima beers.

The Samoans have all been amazingly friendly and happy. Planning on getting out of town to explore more of this big island soon.
