We are still enjoying our time here in Penrhyn. We seem to be spending more and more time with the villagers in Te Tautau. They all know our names and we are working at remembering most of theirs. We spent another few days continuing to help build their docks and enjoying lunch time feasts with everyone.

We have started scoping out some great snorkeling spots that we are going to starting adventuring in. Every day we see dozens and dozens of sharks: nurse sharks and black tips. They range from 3 to 5 feet long. Whenever we are swimming off the boat we can see then swimming below us. They are all very friendly – even the little kids swing with them off the docks.

The locals are lovin’ Phil!!! – He has already helped one of them test their solar panels, provided spare parts to help fix their motor boats and (just today) he offered to go and help apoxy one of their boats.

We went to church with the locals on Sunday, then got invited to have lunch with the Reverend and his family for lunch. The rest of Sunday we relaxed.

We are about to pull up anchor and move to another spot in the giant lagoon for a few days and do some snorkeling and explore some of the small islands (motu).

Stay Tuned!
