Cape Verde to Brazil - Day 15
10:01.66S 34:26.93W It seems for every quick day, we pay with a few slow ones.
We hit a minor frontal system yesterday afternoon, and spent 12 hours dealing
with cyclical conditions and dodging storm cells. At one point we were even
heading back North! In the end we decided what the hell, and ploughed through
it. For the last three days, the computer has been telling us 3
days to go. We should be into Salvador either late afternoon of the 5th,
or we’ll wait til morning of the 6th. On another note, a few hours ago we passed the 5000nm mark.
That’s what we’ve covered in Miss Bossy since we left Greece in
October, alot of hours at sea, and honestly it’s starting to wear, we
can’t wait to tie up, if only because Fabi was down to her last can of
coke zero two days ago, it sit’s in the fridge mocking her, who says coke
is not addictive. Luckily, I have secreted a large box of chocolates for just
such an emergency, and will see it’s time to deploy them later tonight... |
